Legal Requirements
All suppliers shall follow their respective national laws. Should any of the following requirements stipulated by Doratex be in violation of the national laws, the law should always be followed.
Child Labor Policy
This policy on child labor is based on the UN Convention on The Rights of the Child, article 32.1. Doratex recognize the rights of every child to be protected from economic exploitation and from performing any work that is likely to be hazardous, or to be harmful to the child's health or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development. The word "child" as a person younger than 15 years of age or, as an exception, 14 years in situations described in ILO conventions No 59 or No 138 or No 182.
Building and Fire Safety
Doratex requires suppliers to view workers' safety a priority at all times. No production units using hazardous equipment or unsafe buildings are accepted. Factory need to follow BSCI, ACCORD and ALLIANCE requirements for Building and Fire safety.
First Aid
First aid equipment must be available in each production department in every unit, and at least one person in each department should have training in basic first aid. It is recommended that a doctor or nurse should be available at short notice when needed.
Workers Rights
All workers participating in the making of products for Doratex should be entitled to his or her basic rights. We do not accept that bonded workers, prisoners or illegal workers or persons under any form of serfdom.
Wages and Working Hours
Wages should be paid regularly, on time and be fair in respect to work performance. Weekly working time must not exceed the legal limit, and overtime work should always be voluntary and properly compensated.
Factory Environment
It is important for the workers' well-being, and for the quality of the products, that the factory environment is clean and free from pollution of different kinds. Like factory internal temperature, ventilation of wind, adequate lighting, pure drinking water, safe and adequate separate sanitation facilities for men and women.
Eco Friendly Environment
Factory should follow ECO friendly water treatment plant, Gas boiler etc. All supplier should comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. According to Doratex chemical restrictions policy, we do not allow use of solvents or other hazardous chemicals in the production of our goods.
Non-compliance
In case of Noncompliance factory, They should aware of child labor, hazardous chemicals, adequate space for production, safety of Fire & Building , pure drinking water, adequate lighting and ventilations, obey labor law etc, and this will be declare case to case with noncompliance required buyer.
